The Ordinary

Range: The Ordinary is a very versatile brand with a variety of products that can be used all over the body. Besides its skincare products, the brand also offers body washes, hair products, and lash and brow serums.

Cruelty-free: The Ordinary is a vegan brand that is also proudly cruelty-free. This means they do not test any of their products on animals. The brand thus has the Leaping Bunny and PETA stamp of approval.ย

Best suited for: The Ordinary is best for skincare enthusiasts of all skin types. Their range is quite varied with mild products but also highly potent products that are best used by experienced users.

Mixsoon

Range: Mixsoon focuses mainly on its niche of providing quality skincare products with items like serums, face toners, hydrating cleansers, and essences. They have a small range of mild mouthwashes and beauty tools.

Cruelty-free: Mixsoon is entirely cruelty-free and vegan. Each product bought with their polar bear mascot โ€œSoondyโ€ on the label will also help them contribute to the protection of endangered polar bears.

Hero Ingredients

Not sure what youโ€™re putting on your skin? Check out the special ingredients in each brandโ€™s top-selling products to see what sets them apart.

The Ordinary

Some of The Ordinaryโ€™s hero ingredients include exfoliants which can increase sun sensitivity as well as possible chemical burns if not used correctly. It is also worth noting that not all ingredients can be used on top of each other as this can increase the possibility of adverse effects.

  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • AHA
  • Glycolic Acid
  • Niacinamide
  • Squalane

Mixsoon

Mixsoon keeps it simple and only has a handful of โ€œcleanโ€, locally sourced, plant-based ingredients. For example, they specially cultivate Centella Asiatica extracts without pesticides or chemicals on the pure lands of Jeju Island. This makes mixing all its products easy and has a low chance of damaging the skin barrier.

  • Fermented Soy Bean
  • Centella Asiatica
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Galactomyces
  • Bifida

Mixsoon vs The Ordinary Skincare: Ideal Products for Each Skin Type

Mixsoon and The Ordinary have a diverse range of products to help you achieve the perfect skincare routine to match your skin type. But how do each brandโ€™s products differ? First, weโ€™ll look at Mixsson products and compare these to The Ordinaryโ€™s products.

Dry Skin

Dry skin is a common condition caused by factors like cold weather, dry air, harsh soaps, dehydration, and certain skin conditions. Brands like Mixsoon and The Ordinary offer effective solutions for managing and alleviating dry skin.

Mixsoon

Mixsoon prides itself in promoting glowy, glass skin. To do that, youโ€™ll need to boost hydration as this is the secret weapon to that luminous but not greasy appearance. So, you can expect highly nourishing products in their line.

Their Glacier Water Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Bean Cream Moisturiser help to lock in moisture and keep the skin supple and plump. Their cult favourite Bean Essence helps to gently exfoliate the skin to remove any rough textures. At the same time, it provides deep moisturisation to once, again, lock in moisture.

The Ordinary

The best products you can use for dry skin are The Ordinaryโ€™s Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 & Marine Hyaluronic. This potion in a bottle offers instant hydration thanks to its five forms of hyaluronic acid.

Another powerful serum to use is the Alpha Arbutin & AHA BHA Serum. It not only hydrates but also exfoliates. With this product, you can reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation while promoting cell turnover for smoother, brighter skin.

Lock in moisture with the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA moisturiser to support the skin barrier and prevent further dryness.

Verdict

While The Ordinaryโ€™s Alpha Arbutin & AHA BHA Serum helps exfoliate dry skin, it is not suitable for dry sensitive skin. These harsh acids can irritate skin increasing dryness and flakiness.

Mixsoon products are suitable for all skin types and focus on boosting hydration so win this round.

Oily Skin

Oily skin is the result of an overproduction of sebum. The key to tackling this common issue lies in finding the perfect balance rather than completely stripping your skin of its natural oils. Products that dry out the skin can irritate it stimulating an overproduction of oil.

Thankfully, both The Ordinary and Mixsoon have a good range of products for this.

Mixsoon

Mixsoonโ€™s Soondy Centella Asiatica Essence and Bean Essence are favourites among people with oily skin because they hydrate without clogging pores. The Bean Essence also gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and help regulate sebum production.

Their Centella Sun Cream SPF50 PA++++ is the perfect product to layer on top of your moisturiser without adding a white cast. Its innovative blend ensures that even those with oily skin can enjoy a matte finish throughout the day.

Ordinary

The Ordinaryโ€™s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is a deep exfoliant to be used bi-weekly. It helps unclog pores and reduces the appearance of white- and blackheads common with oily skin.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is a dream for oily skin. It reduces excess sebum production, preventing congestion and blackheads. Zinc also reduces inflammation and scarring.

The Ordinaryโ€™s Marine Hyaluronic offers deep hydration which helps with sebum production.

Verdict:

It is tricky to layer active ingredients like Ordinary peeling solutions and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% as they may interact with other products in your skincare routine. It is thus not suitable for beginners.

Some might feel that Mixsoonโ€™s ultra-hydrating products are a bit too intense and could feel like an oily film on the skin. There is thus a slight learning curve needed in adding the correct amount of product for oily skin.

Combination Skin

Combination skin, with both oily and dry areas on the face, requires a skincare routine that caters to both. Gentle cleansers, nourishing toners, and non-pore-clogging moisturizers are essential. Both Mixsoon and The Ordinary offer such products.

Mixsoon

Fortunately, Mixsoonโ€™s products work for all skin types so you can play with their products. Still, we recommend the Bean Cleansing Oil as a cleanser for combination skin that’s more oily. It offers deep hydration without adding a greasy feeling and works well for dry areas.

Heartleaf Toner has been formulated to deliver immediate soothing benefits to irritated skin while providing deep hydration to dry areas and regulating excessive oil production.

The award-winning Bean Essence is a top-seller. It enhances skin texture and minimizes pores by delicately eliminating dead skin cells from the outer layer, unveiling a more radiant and luminous complexion.

The Ordinary

The Ordinaryโ€™s Multi-Peptide + HA Serum helps to lock in moisture, addressing dryness on combination skin while peptides work together to improve skin smoothness and target signs of ageing.

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA is best for dry combination skin. It not only has hyaluronic acid but has naturally occurring moisturising compounds found in the skin to help address both short-term and long-term skin hydration needs.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is a holy elixir for anyone with oily combination skin. It offers non-greasy hydration, regulates sebum production, and helps fight acne thanks to its added zinc.

Verdict:

The Ordinaryโ€™s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% can help regulate oil production but may cause dryness to already dry skin. Some users also experienced acne purging the first few times using it.

Because The Bean Essence is so mild, there is a possibility of overusing it irritating skin. We thus recommend that you use it no more than 2-3 times a week.

Sensitive Skin

If you have sensitive skin, you need products that help target visible redness, support hydration, and repair the skin barrier. For those with sensitive skin, Mixsoon’s and The Ordinary’s product lines offer a range of gentle and effective solutions.

Mixsoon

All of Mixsoonโ€™s products are soothing and work well with sensitive skin, but its Bifida Ferment Essence is especially great because it supports the skin barrier. It helps protect your already tender skin from oxidative stress and inflammatory stimuli.

The Soondy Centella Asiatica Essence and Heartleaf Toner hydrates and nourishes the skin leaving it soft and supple. It also helps improve elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Centella Asiatica is known for its natural power and anti-inflammatory properties that calm irritated skin.

The Ordinary

Start your skin routine with the gentle, non-foaming Glycolipid Cream Cleanser. Its nourishing formula supports the skin’s natural barrier and maintains its natural pH balance for a healthier complexion.

The Ordinary’s Aloe 2% + NAG 2% Solution is a soothing face serum that targets post-acne marks, uneven skin, and texture. Itโ€™s free from harsh ingredients, supports skin barrier function, and boosts hydration.

The Ordinary’s Soothing & Barrier Support Serumโ€™s lightweight water-based formula hydrates the skin within 2 hours and maintains hydration throughout the day. It also helps repair the skin barrier by soothing discomfort and reducing the appearance of redness.

verdict

Mixsoon has the best products for sensitive skin by far. All its products, including their exfoliants, are gentle and can be mixed without fear of agitation.

It is extremely gentle and provides the least amount of irritation due to careful consideration in using mild plant-based ingredients thus cruelty free and also prevents any harsh reactions. I have sensitive skin and acne prone skin as well and Mixsoon seems like a brand that will help in catering for my skin the best, without any harm to my skin barrier. However, The Ordinary has also been a brand that I’ve wanted to try but seeing how it is a bit tricky to use considering that the products seem to be catered more towards experts and not beginners. Nonetheless, I loved reading this as it was easy to understand and great for anyone whose looking to find their skincare brand match.

  40. Maymunah says:

mixsoon = glass skin!!!! The ordinary doesnโ€™t agree with my skin lol

  41. Maymunah says:

Never used mixsoon but it seems to be a really good brand, Iโ€™ve seen many people use it and get amazing results – better than the ordinary in my opinion. Iโ€™ve used the ordinary before- only the niacinamide and it was working really well for my skin initially, but over time it actually broke down my skin barrier! Way too high of a concentration. I think mixsoon would do wonders for my skin

  42. Insaaf says:

    Cool

  43. Marlise says:

Mixoon has definitely been a step up for my skincare journey.

  44. Amery says:

I think Mixsoon and the ordinary are both great brands that can be perfect for anything whether youโ€™re looking for basics or feeling adventurous!

  48. Arshiya says:

I have personally never used mixsoon or the ordinary, but have heard good things about both brands. The ordinary has really good products that focuses on simplifying your routine, with the added bonus of it being affordable. However after much research on mixsoon, I would much prefer mixsoon as it is cruelty free and focuses on strengthening the skin barrier (which I desperately need). Mixsoon has so many great products with great reviews, and I would love to try it!

  49. sandykatumbayi says:

I havenโ€™t used all of the ordinary products but the ones I have used did not result to a big change but they work for others. mixsoon seems to be a really good brand, I will definitely give it a try

    Wow!!

  54. Tasnuva says:

Both brands are really amazing and gentle on the skin. Only tried one product of mixoon which is the bean essence and itโ€™s definitely worth the hype, canโ€™t wait to try the others. The ordinary has great products too such as the glycolic acid which is a gentle exfoliater and leaves you with a glow.

  55. Levi says:

I’ve only tried The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 30ml so far but am very impressed with the results. Haven’t tried Mixsoon but would LOVE to give it a go. I love anything ultra-hydrating that keeps my skin feeling hydrated throughout the day.

  59. Fatima2002 says:

I would love to try the mixsoon products.I have used the ordinary products and they broke me out really bad. I have been watching skin care reviews on the mixsoon products and I would really love the opportunity to try them out

  60. Shelby says:

Both equally have their place in skincare with pros and cons, they just market themselves to different audiences. I love using both to target specific concerns which is ultimately what you want in the world of skincare

  61. Olga van der Merwe says:

I can’t wait to try Mixsoon’s range of products. I like that they have no harsh chemicals, are vegan, provide lots of moisture, and are good value for money.

  62. Georgia Werner says:

I’ve always had a fascination with skincare, I really love how Secret Skin breaks down the information into digestible pieces for everyone to understand and make use of. My acne has always been present which can take a toll on a woman’s self esteem, especially since we all watch those amazing tiktoks about clear skin remedies. So far I can whole heartedly say that the only thing to lessen my acne has been Korean skincare and the active ingredients that are inside the skincare products.

    1. Sindiswa says:

Definitely want to try Mixsoon it has more natural ingredients than The Ordinary..

  63. Amaarah says:

Mixoon for sure, the ordinary doesn’t do much for my skin compared to Mixoon.

  64. As someone with extremely sensitive skin, I’ve always gravitated towards Korean Skincare. Can’t wait to try the Mixsoon brand!

  65. Nicolene says:

I have used some The Ordinary products but would love to give Mixoon a try. The Bean Essence sounds wonderful.

  66. sielamackenzie says:

I love both The Ordinary and Mixsoon. I am not gonna go in on how good both brands are for your skin, but when I put Mixsoon products on my face, it gives me that exact feeling like when I’m eating ice cream on a hot summer’s day, total bliss.

  67. April says:

I have only ever tried the ordinary serums for my hyperpigmentation and dry skin, and am really enjoying them so far

  68. Sandra Anyaoku says:

Mixsoon is purely plant based and entirely cruelty-free and vegan.
it’s also suitable for all skin types especially skin that requires hydration.

  69. RumbiN says:

For me, I love how Mixoon has different products that each have their own “star ingredient”. Sometime when trying a product it might be great but one small ingredient could deter you from buying it (for me its always niacinamide – cant have too much of a good thing!) so the fact that Mixoon has a lof of toners and essences with different benefits to choose from (at a high concentration and great quality) its great to have a variety of options to choose from.

  70. Nomnom says:

As someone who struggles with hyperpigmentation and acne prone skin that is sensitive and dry, it has been quite a struggle to find suitable skincare that caters to my skin type and struggles without further causing harm on my skin barrier. I have found that the ordinary is a good and pretty reputable line of skincare but overtime it has worsened my hyperpigmentation and caused my skin to be extra dry, so it is safe to say it is not suitable for sensitive and dry skin like mine. I love that Mixson offers plant-based skincare that is gentle to the skin and caters to a wide range of skin types and is not so complicated in terms of usage, it is very beginner friendly. It has been quite a challenge figuring what to and what not to layer in terms of the ordinary product line which just makes skincare feels more like a chore or homework. The cat’s out the bag good people!! Mixsoon for the Win.

  71. This break down is really great!
While the price point for The Ordinary is no match for Mixsoon, I believe you get what you pay for. I completely lost trust with The Ordinary with their ridiculously high percentage actives, almost like they were creating the problem of a damaged skin barrier to prep the stage for their new range targeting exactly that issue.

Mixsoon comes from a long standing Korean skincare ethos of prevention and protection is better than cure, with gentler ingredients, ingredients from nature backed by extensive research and science, and a focus on healthy, hydrated and nourished skin. I’ve tried two of their products and I have yet to be disappointed. The innovation, research and technology backing so many Korean skincare brands in general at such a good price point is really hard to beat and my sensitive skin just can’t get enough!

  72. kiaraneermul says:

I have been waiting to try Korean brands considering Korea has the leading position in skincare. I like that mixsoon will give me the glass skin look as well as keep my skin nourished and healthy. The ordinary didnโ€™t seem like a good fit for me considering I have dry skin and I want to hydrate and nourish my skin, without the harsh chemicals..

  73. Tasmeera says:

MIXSOON Bean skincare line is formulated with fermented beans, barley, pomegranate and pear. These ingredients are rich in natural antioxidants that works by brightening dull skin, gently exfoliating rough patches and delivering essential minerals deep into the skin for a revitalized, healthy and glowing complexion

  74. Tasmeera says:

MIXSOON Bean skincare line is formulated with fermented beans, barley, pomegranate and pear. These ingredients are rich in natural antioxidants that works by brightening dull skin, gently exfoliating rough patches and delivering essential minerals deep into the skin for a revitalized, healthy and glowing complexion. Mixsoon has created a line of skincare thatโ€™s as effective as gentle. Rooted in traditional Korean herbal medicine, it blends ancient wisdom with modern science to create pure, organic essences and products tailored to all skin types.

  75. Sizile Mvula says:

I havenโ€™t tried mixsoon yet but according to what I read, seems like mixsoon would be a great brand to use when you start ur skincare as a beginner as it as many products that are good for sensitive people. The ordinary products, I have tried so far and they are good products.

  76. andreia.sequeira2007 says:

    amazing!

  77. Veruschka says:

Mixsoon feels more holistic and gentler fo the skin.

  79. Erin smith says:

I just love mixsoon better…plz I wanna win

  80. Azalea says:

Loved reading this. It was extremely insightful.
I am definitely trying the Mixsoon Madagascar Centella range to assist me with hyperpigmentation and produce a healthy, glowing and irresistible skin.

  81. Karien Kruger says:

Mixsoon offers better value with its luxurious, high-performance formulations that deliver visible results, blending advanced technology with premium ingredients, while The Ordinary focuses on affordability and simplicity.

  82. Maxine says:

I have tried both Mixoon and The Ordinary products, and even though I love the niacinamide serum from The ordinary ( I genuinely saw a difference) everything else I tried wasn’t really suited for me. Mixoon gave me hydration pro Max and I actually just now figured that’s what I actually needed. If I ever have any acne to target, The ordinary all the way and for now- since my skin is behaving, I’ll be on Mixoon. I’m sorry I can’t pick one, I love them both ๐Ÿ˜

  83. Blair Konig says:

I have used a few of The Ordinary products but the Mixsoon products look really good would love an opportunity to try them ๐Ÿ’›

  92. Azeezah says:

Mixsoon uses natural ingredients which is less harsh on the skin especially for people with sensitive skin.

  93. Senobia Khan says:

I’m really happy to have found a place that sells Korean skincare. The quality of the ingredients and the different pairings of ingredients is simple and next level at the same time from the different brands. Brands like The Ordinary I like, however in comparison to the Korean formulations the efficacy seems of a higher degree. Looking forward to trying Mixsoon in the future.

  94. Beyonce says:

I have only ever used The Ordinary products but reading this has really made me interested in trying Mixsoon products.

  95. Lauren Johnston says:

Mixsoon all the way. I absolutely adore their hyaluronic acid so much. I also find a little bit of their products goes a long way.

  96. kmundell says:

I love you guys, I only recently discovered this site and I got so excited when I saw all the international products are sold in rands and shipped to SA ๐Ÿ˜ญ. And the prices are so reasonable! Iโ€™m really excited to try the products because my skin isnโ€™t the greatest and I need a proper skin care routine.

i have been testing the waters with Mixsoon as the ordinary is too harsh for skin and I’m finding it much hydrating and soothing, especially during winter!

  100. yolilong says:

Its so awesome that you sell products from other countries that we can also try.

  101. Tashmira says:

I haven’t been able to try either of the brands but judging on the above, I’m definitely keen and excited to try Mixsoon! I have dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin ๐Ÿ˜ญ so mixsoon would be perfect for me ๐Ÿ™ˆ

  102. Tatum-Lee says:

    Definitely The Ordinary

  103. Jenn25504 says:

Before reading the article I knew my vote would go to Mixsoon. The Ordinary uses too many complex ingredients, and if you arenโ€™t specialized and donโ€™t know what youโ€™re doing you can damage your skin quite easily. Mixsoon is fantastic, extremely easy to understand and extremely easy to use!!!
    Love them!!!

  107. Marnรฉ says:

I have used and repurchased The Ordinary’s zinc and niacinamide and I absolutely adore it! It definitely strengthened my skin barrier. It definitely can cause some reactions on sensitive skin though. My first bottle came from a friend whose skin couldn’t tolerate it well. To those wondering if they should get The Ordinary: 1. purchase the smaller sized serums first to test it out 2. I wouldn’t recommend it if you already have plenty of active ingredients in your routine. Mixoon would be the better option for you. I only use two active ingredients in my routine, one a.m. and one p.m. All in all, it definitely is worth a try!

  108. Meneesha says:

I’ve just begun using Mixsoon and I love it.

  109. Tamara Rungasamy says:

I have never tried or heard of Mixoon. But after reading this article itโ€™s definitely convinced me to give the product a try. With the amount of products out on the market and all the gimmicky marketing itโ€™s often difficult to differentiate between products as consumer with no skincare background besides whatโ€™s written on the bottle. So having access to information like this is great and really helps you better understand your products and why certain ingredients and ingredients combinations make a product different. Definitely gonna give Mixoon a try.

  110. Kim Davids says:

    Mixsoon Galactomyces Ferment Essence:

I have really dry skin after being on accutane. Iโ€™ve found that Mixoon works wonders for my dry and sensitive skin. Itโ€™s super hydrating and great for irritable, and even redness prone skin. A little goes a long way for me. I add a few drops into my moisturizer or accompanying serum, and it works beautifully โค๏ธ

  124. Shaaziah says:

Mixsoon vs. The Ordinary: Why Mixsoon is My Top Choice

As someone who has tried both Mixsoon and The Ordinary, I can confidently say that Mixsoon has become my go-to skincare brand, and here’s why.

    Mixsoon: Superior Simplicity and Effectiveness

Mixsoon’s approach to skincare is refreshingly simple yet incredibly effective. The brand focuses on using clean, natural ingredients that work harmoniously with the skin, making their products perfect for all skin types, especially sensitive skin like mine. What I love most about Mixsoon is its minimalist philosophy. Each product is crafted to deliver multiple benefits without overwhelming my skin with too many active ingredients.

Products like the Mixsoon Bean Essence and Propolis Serum have transformed my skincare routine. They provide deep hydration, nourishment, and a noticeable glow without any irritation. The lightweight textures absorb beautifully, leaving my skin balanced and revitalised. I also appreciate that Mixsoonโ€™s products are versatile, addressing various skin concerns with just one formula.

    Why Mixsoon Over The Ordinary?

While The Ordinary is known for its potent, science-backed formulas, Iโ€™ve found that the brandโ€™s focus on single-ingredient products can sometimes be too much for my skin. The need to layer multiple products to achieve the desired effect can be overwhelming and time-consuming. In contrast, Mixsoonโ€™s holistic approach suits my preference for a streamlined routine with fewer, but more effective, products.

Mixsoonโ€™s commitment to using gentle yet powerful natural ingredients gives me peace of mind, knowing that Iโ€™m treating my skin with the best nature has to offer. The brand has struck the perfect balance between tradition and modern skincare science, and my skin has never felt better.

    Final Thoughts

For me, Mixsoon stands out as the superior choice. Its gentle, effective, and multi-functional products align perfectly with my skincare needs and lifestyle. While The Ordinary has its merits, Mixsoonโ€™s philosophy of simplicity and its focus on natural, skin-friendly ingredients make it the brand I prefer and trust.

  125. Michelle B says:

I had never heard of Mixsoon until now but am really keen to try it out as I love ‘the Ordinary’ products, and Mixsoon may just be better suited to my skin.

  126. Amy Stacey L. says:

I’ve used some products from the Ordinary, so I think what really makes Mixsoon stand out is the fact that they use plant-based ingredients which ends up being less harsh on the skin but is still just as effective. Although I haven’t tried anything from Mixsoon yet, I use a few Korean skincare products that also use mostly plant-based ingredients. And so I always find those products much gentler on my skin. The Ordinary is great but as the article mentioned, you can’t layer the products as easily as you can with Mixsoon; which can be quite a scary experience if you don’t do your research! Also love that Mixsoon punts their support towards nature conservation by using locally-sourced ingredients and using a polar bear as their mascot. Definitely keen to support them after finding that out!

  127. As someone who’s always used Ordinary it feels good to hear about Mixsoon. The side by side comparisons and key elements in terms of ingredients and performance and what to expect as an add goal, including all skin concerns is the cherry on top. Thank you Mixsoon for this elaborate and informative post, you definitely stand out and you’ve got my attention. Looking forward to it.

  128. Aileen Naidoo says:

Mixsoon stands out for me more.

  130. Siphokazi Moyo says:

Mixsoon stands out as it makes use of natural ingredients and simplifies it even more by using only the essential ingredients โ€” nothing more. It uses only the needed ingredients meaning it has fewer unnecessary additives and active ingredients.

  131. Anam Nishan says:

Mixsoon is the combination of 2 words mix meaning mixing and soon coming from a Chinese-Korean word means purity therefore itโ€™s a pure mixture of selective ingredients which allow people to get glowy and glass skin
    shout out toโ€mixsoon โ€œ

  132. Theshalia says:

Mixsoon is cruelty free And plant based. Their products are gentle which is perfect for my sensitive skin, this doesn’t mean it is not effective enough, mixsoon uses active ingredients which target your skin problems while simultaneously maintaining and healing your skin barrier. Ultimately promoting healthy skin.

  133. Boitumelo Shubane says:

I love the fact that Mixsoon has one product that tackles a lot of your skin problems. I am no stranger to The Ordinary products and they have some good products but it is exhausting having to buy different products that tackle all your skin problems. For instance I have dry skin and have hyperpigmentation, I would have to buy niacinamide and alpha arbutin to tackle dark spots and skin texture but with mixsoon the glacier water hyaluronic acid does that for me and adds hydration.

  134. Kya says:

I would have to say Mixoon , The main reason why I love their skincare is because it doesn’t really have the harsh acids like glycolic acid for example, Their products REALLY hydrate the skin , and since where I live is very Cold I find their products very useful. They are a bit pricier for me in terms of skincare but they are completely worth it! I have been into more ‘ natural ‘ skincare Lately and that’s how I discovered Mixoon and so far it looks like I might have to buy the entire collection๐Ÿ˜…

  258. Inger says:

Super interesting – I can wait to try this! ๐Ÿ™‚

  259. Sabeeha says:

Mixsoon seems like the better option. The ordinary is more for like non sensitive skin. Mixsoon works with it all! Totally Mixsoon

  260. Tshegofatso says:

Mixsoon is cruelty free and uses natural ingredients that help calm skin and restore the skin barrier. It’s also safe to mix their skin products without agitation so it’s suitable to use on ALL skin types. I’ve used korean skin products before and they hydrated my skin and I saw my dark spots disappearing within the first week of using them. I haven’t tried Mixsoon products but they definitely win in this case and I can’t wait to try it!

  261. Mieke says:

Mixsoon is a breath of fresh air in the skincare world. Their products are super gentle and perfect for all skin types, especially if you have sensitive & acne prone skin like me. I just love that you can easily layer their products without worrying about irritation.

I have been dying to try the glacier water hyaluronic acid serum as well as the bean essence as these products would be amazing for my post winter dehydrated skin!

  262. Lanri Geldenhuys says:

    Mixsoon for the win !!!

  263. Lanri Geldenhuys says:

    Mixsoon = gold medal !!!

  264. Chicane says:

Iโ€™ve been on the hunt for a skincare brand that caters to my normal-to-dry skin, and this comparison really helped! I love how Mixsoon focuses on hydration and gentle ingredientsโ€”exactly what my skin craves. Their Bean Cream Moisturiser and Glacier Water Hyaluronic Acid Serum sound like game-changers for achieving that glowy, glass-skin look without irritating my skin.๐Ÿ’•โœจ

  265. Farah Burhanuddin says:

Eventhough Mixsoon is a relatively new minimalist and cruelty-free Korean beauty brand, i am intrigued by the brand’s aim to eliminate unnecessary ingredients from products and instead, focus on core ingredients. I’m definitely all in for their products especially the Bean Essence which is a vegan, cruelty-free formula devoid of artificial fragrances and other nasties, thatโ€™s kind enough to be used on all skin types โ€” even the most acne-prone. And this is music to my ears as a mother in my 40s with dry-combination skin, having at the same time 2 teenage daughters with raging hormonal skins issues.

Extremely excited to go through my journey to achieve “korean glass skin” with Mixsoon’s โ€œless is moreโ€ concept. Hopin’ to win the giveaway contest, help me God! *wink*

  266. Nicole Masuku says:

Definitely prefer Mixsoon. The centella essence healed my dry acne infested skin to recovery. I realized that I actually didn’t really have acne but my skin was inflamed because skin barrier was damaged. The Ordinary is okay and affordable – their pink barrier support serum is nice but Mixsoon products are more superior. perfect combo is the centella essence, followed up by the bean essence then moisturizer.

  267. Noxolo says:

I am using Mixsoon products and I am happy with the results ๐Ÿ™Œ suitable for all skin types and focus on boosting hydration ,itโ€™s a win .

  268. Tereena says:

Mixsoon centella sunscreen was the best I have tried so far. Absorbs easily. No white cast. And moistened my skin well.

  269. Waseela says:

I have tried all the serums, but haven’t quiet got that glass skin. I think its time to try Mixsoon and pamper my skin.

  270. Thamy N says:

    Mixsoon is minimalist and cruelty-free
love the Korean beauty brand that eliminates unnecessary ingredients to focus on core ingredients for your skin.

  271. Sasha says:

Mixsoon is based on natural ingredients that are more gentle on the skin for specific skin needs or concerns while the ordinary has more of a chemical base that is a little stronger while still having a variety or products to meet different skin concerns and needs. I personally love both but I do prefer skincare thatโ€™s more gentle because of my sensitive skin.

  272. Jurizma says:

What a informative read, I love that mixsoonโ€™s uses clean ingredients, makes it a winner although I have not used it yet. Beauty brands are loading products with ingredients no one has heard of and itโ€™s nice to no mixsoon focuses on clean ingredients.

  273. Abigail says:

Personally,Mixoon has changed the way my skin feels and looks. I feel much more comfortable and confident when my skin feels hydrated glowy and healthy. Maxoon has blessed my skin in so many ways. I have sensitive skin which often has allergic reactions to the products I use. Maxoon has left nothing but blessing to my sensitive skin. I love that it is cruelty free! My skin is thanking Mixoon for not adding any fragrances.

  274. rubasri Naidoo says:

i fully heartedly with choose mixsoon being that it is gods gift to us ,so gentle on the skin , absolutely amazing glow just over all a 100/10

  275. Andrea says:

A really thorough analysis, thank you! Really helpful for someone who is indecisive, like me.

  276. Michaela says:

Way more into mixsoon, especially as it better aligns with ethical practices (bds safe) rather than the ordinary, which all the hot girls boycott, and whose parent company is not cruelty free:) let’s go mixsooooooon

  277. Rochelle says:

The Ordinary treated my dry sensitive skin so well but I would absolutely give Mixsoon a go after reading this!

  278. Samantha Jane says:

With incredibly sensitive skin I am really interested in trying the Mixsoon range! Who doesn’t want dewy, glassy skin? ๐Ÿ™‚

  279. Sizathina P Dlamini says:

I love me some of the South Korean brands. Theyโ€™re authentic and are not gimmicky. They do exactly what theyโ€™re supposed to do on the skin. So Mixsoon for me, all the way.

  280. Mash says:

    mixsoon is a winner

  281. Madelyn says:

    Mixsoon al the way!

  282. GigiPud says:

I really like how this article was written and laid out. I personally find there’s benefits to both, it’s definitely easier to reach for Mixsoon’s products since they’re already formulated and ready to go, but I also like TO’s option to mix and match to what my skins currently needs slightly more of, or what one product may be lacking in.

  283. reyatlegilehector says:

Mixsoon uses safer ingredients ,which i prefer.
